Jessica N. Thornton, RN

The Womb Nurse Spiritualist™

From a natural born baby to a flower-eating child, raised by a fiery-helper-loving Mother, Healing was in my nature. Nursing was my first love. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and an Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) in High School. I, then, completed the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program and earned my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Oklahoma State University. With over 19 years of healthcare experience, including 10 years as a Registered Nurse, I specialized in Pediatrics, Special Needs Children, and Mother-Baby. I had a clear vision and a strong drive to expand

- both personally and professionally.

In 2015, my first Journey to Afrika, along with my Father’s Entrepreneurial Spirit, motivated me in making my decision to transition out of the clinical hospital setting and into my community. While still working full-time as a Registered Nurse, I began to research. I became a student of Self and a student of Nature. During the process, Birth Work found me and led me to study with some amazing Trailblazer Women of Traditional Birth Practices and Wholistic Healing. Over the span of 4 years, I trained intensively, becoming a multi-certified practitioner, adding 7 new certifications to my Resume. I became a Certified Community Birth Sister through Sista Midwife Productions with Nicole Deggins, Certified Holistic Doula through The Matrona with Whapio Diane Barlett, Certified Postpartum Care Provider through Innate Traditions with Rachelle Garcia-Seliga, completed Grandma’s Hands Pregnancy and Postpartum Herbs & Nutrition in the Southern Tradition Training through Divine Birth Wisdom with Divine Bailey-Nicholas and became Care Coordinator through The InTune Mother Society: Beehive Birth Consulting with RaShaunda Lugrand, in addition to a Strengthening Families Program Facilitator through the Oklahoma Conference of Churches. My passion grew deeper into trauma-related work. I became a Certified Mental Health First Aid Provider through the National Council for Behavioral Health and a Certified Forensics Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) through the YWCA where I developed cirriculum for "Cultural Considerations & Religious Implications of Sexual Assault" and "Female Genital Anatomy", training new SANE Nurses entering into the program.

Through many years of deep inner work and being a product of my very own Self-Healing technique, I came into alignment with my purpose. My independent study of Herbalism, along with being an Artist, Writer and Researcher with a passion for Nutritional Science and Women’s Health, helped further clarify my vision of Wholistic Reproductive Wellness and redefining "Fertility", with a special focus on Endometriosis, Fibroids, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). I curated the Black Fruit Fertility Lifestyle™ Method, specifically designed for Black Women over 30, while also developing a framework for two theories: Post Traumatic Womb Disorder Theory and Womb Revitalization Theory - both of which are widely demonstrated throughout my Coaching and Training. I’ve hosted 7 live workshops and over 20 virtual online events, reaching hundreds of individuals around the world, providing the tools and information to Reprogram the Mind, Reclaim the Body, and Revitalize the Spirit. My radically innovative approach, combined with my intuitive metaphysical teaching ability, provides an organic space for truth and enlightenment for You to Heal Your Self. As I am now living and working remotely with my Husband in The Gambia, West Afrika, cultivating a Naturalist lifestyle of Freedom and Well-Being, I am continually learning and growing as a student of Self and a student of Nature. I love sharing the wisdom of enhancing the awareness of our Emotional guidance, in order to navigate the Body through the manifestation of Healing from Physical dis-ease.

This is my foundational philosophy.

De'Shaun L. Thornton, LPC

Integrative Mental Health Practitioner

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to implementing effective treatment and education strategies that help children, adolescents, and adults cope with and conquer life’s challenges. I incorporate a wholistic approach to Therapy, by helping people understand the connection between Mind and Body. I have taken time to recognize and highlight how our daily nutritional intake, directly correlates with our vast array of thoughts and emotions. As a certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I appreciate the opportunities I’m given to educate communities on the many benefits of non-pharmaceutical integrative medicine. My other areas of certification include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family & Divorce Mediation, and Batterer’s Intervention Program Facilitation. I am also a Board Approved Oklahoma LPC Supervisor. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science with a major in Psychology/Sociology from St. Gregory’s University, and a Master of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University.

My commitment to program development and the desire to bring people together is reflected in my professional career throughout Oklahoma and abroad. I began work as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist in 2008, linking families to valuable resources and teaching healthy social skills to adolescents. I’ve worked as Lead Counselor of Upward Bound, where I helped high school students bridge the gap for college preparation, and as an Outpatient Behavioral Therapist providing individual, and family services. I’ve gained significant experience also working as a Program Director for School-based Day Treatment/Outpatient Mental Health Services. I have created curriculum for emotional support classrooms, educated the Educators on best practices for working with children who have experienced complex traumas, and developed useful strategies that help families manage the painful effects of Anxiety, Trauma and Depression. My goal is to equip individuals and families with tools that promote positive self-outlook, healthy relationships, and nutritional well-being for improved Mental Wealth

Within the field of the helping profession, I’ve witnessed significant increases in the support of individuals taking the initiative to address their underlying Mental Health needs, begin their healing processes, and set new standards for living. I believe there is a Sacredness built into the creation of safe spaces for self-reflection and growth. Daily obstacles continue to be fundamental part of our journey towards self-knowledge, and ultimately self-healing. I find it helpful to focus on what is within our control, maintaining the capacity to analyze situations from a place of peace, and to think through solutions that enhance our personal development in difficult times. In the same way, as we work to balance life’s disappointments and the inevitable, I encourage that we use the Power of Mind and voice to prioritize our Mental Health. Outside of supporting and Counseling in my community, I find enjoyment in playing the Acoustic and Electric guitar, travel, creative writing, exercise, and using my original Abstract Art designs through "Mental Wealth" and "Speak Life" apparel to promote mental prosperity.
